Google Announces GMail New Features

Well InsideGoogle has announced them anyway.

Still no sign of the new features on my account but the details and screenshots are here. You can now save draft versions of emails, contact handling has been streamlined with a frequently mailed contact list and you can get your new mail notifications in Atom format so you can use something like Bloglines to check incoming mail or presumably even add it to Firefox's RSS feeds.

I saw the Atom button yesterday, but now it's gone. They're probably ironing out a few bugs or something in the new features, before fully unvelining them.

I was using gmail a bit yesterday and didn't see it.

The draft feature is a must have - I can't wait till they turn it on.

I've now got the new features on my account - although there's no sign of the Atom Feed.

The notifier seems to have had an update too - it has a few more options like specifying which browser if you don't want to use the system default and it's changed colour too.
