If you are planning on holding a geek convention of any sort then you may want some geek security. The Dorsai Irregulars are sci fi fans who have a sense of duty towards the sci fi community and volunteer their services for various sorts of security roles at conventions.
There's one major drawback to using them. Think Comic Guy then think how far he could chase the average thief. There, I feel, is the inherent problem with this service.
