According to this report a man has set a new standard in self-inflicted brutality by decapitating himself. He achieved this by tying a rope around his neck, the other end to a lamp post and then driving off in his car.
Of course we had a local suicide that decapitated himself - except this one had the panache to build a guillotine in his bedroom. Much more style than just ripping your head off. Pah!

Yeah - I'd go with the mad enough to kill yourself then you're mad enough to do it in all sorts of odd ways.
The interesting thing is there was no suicide note for the guillotine bloke. It was the existence of the guillotine, which obviously took time to prepare, that made it suicide.
So what if the dad had made it and used it as a murder weapon or the son made it for fun and was just having a look to see why it wasn't working properly and swoosh....
