Really?

Have you seen this sign recently?
Click, die, pay up.

Of course I understand you wouldn't pay anything in dollars, but...

It nearly did for me a few years back when I installed a dodgy electric cooker. I blew the electrics in the house and dived out of the way of the biggest blue flash you would ever see. :)

Have we got a tramway...?

mmChronic said...

Well we have got the Metro which was another favourite playground in our youth. As for paying the fines - they had to catch you first! ;)

Catch you first after you died, to pay up?

hehehe... :)

We were too quick for electrocution. Probably. ;)

The full meaning of the sign only sank in after I commented. Doh.

I blame Saturday morning relaxation techniques.

Would the "Saturday morning relaxation techniques" be the same as the "Alzheimers prevention techniques"?

mmChronic said...

Very possibly. ;)

Today I will be mostly Alzheimers free. I think.

That must be Newcastle, Australia then...I can see the logic behind the design here...warn them about instant death, and if that doesn't scare them, the 200 dollar ticket will. In my work there are occasions when I have to tell someone that they are not allowed to drive a car until the next examination, and I've found it's no use warning them of the bodily harm that could result if they do, but when I mention that the insurance company won't pay the bill, they go a bit pale and I figure that'll keep them from driving.

Oh, and here's a request for you creative young minds, a cool brain icon for Technorati.
Cheers,
Stuart

It's like the old suicide laws a bit - if you attempted it you could be charged but if you succeeded the law wasn't going to catch you.

A brain icon? ;)

I need to do some icon work this w/e so I'll knock one up for you. In the meantime you can edit the html src to point at the tag of your choice - just change the tag/Whatever bit of the link code to be tag/Brain.

As an aside - Blogger broke our icon code - it's now refusing to accept <script> in a post body. You used to be able to override it but not any more. I've had to put the icon clicky code in the main template so it's on every page until I can figure out a way to get around it. Stupid free blogging tools. ;)

<G>

You should know a preview on Blogger looks nowt like the finished article by now. ;)

I like the new commenting system better than the old one - but the previews are still very poor.

So Stuart it looks like you've got a choice of Brain icons. Let me know which one you want.

Number 2 please Bob.

Yeah we could put all four (or five including mine) - but even a head doctor is going to struggle to publish so many stories about the brain he needs five icons to spice it up a bit!

I bet we've probably not even done five brain stories since New Links started - are you expecting a sudden rush? ;)

To put this in total perspective - we only have 3 boobies icons! And 2 or three Video Game icons.

Do you really want all of them put up? I'll do it if you really want - but we won't do the posts to support them.
