It looks like the medical wonder that is marijuana may block Alzheimer's. In experiments rats were injected with an amyloid protein that forms Alzheimer's plaques and then some of those rats were given cannabinoids. The latter group apparently performed better on mental functions and had reduced inflammation of their brain tissue.
I'm off to take some preventative medicine.
