Somebody bought a Space Age Ant Colony (as featured on New Links almost exactly a year ago) and documented the tunnel digging of the colony. Unfortunately the ants seem a bit lazy and haven't managed very well despite threats and encouragement. The site author is of course in trouble from Jeebusians for cruelty to ants as his methods of 'encouragement' include waving a big spoon menacingly.
I think I'd be tempted to put some ants from another species into the colony - at the very least hopefully some Space Age Ant Wars will break out. It'll be just like Time Commanders. With Space Age Ant Laser Cannons. Probably.
