It's nearly the Chinese New Year again and, like last year, the mmChronic family will be celebrating it at the Number One restaurant in Newcastle's China Town (around Stowell Street). In addition to this Newcastle's new Chinese Arch is supposed to be officially opened this weekend too but I can't see a mention on the BBC event list.
Of course with the Chinese New Year we move to a different sign of the Chinese zodiac. Last year it was the year of the monkey which sparked a spate of monkey related postage on New Links. This year it's the year of the cock so I mostly won't be visiting New Links for the next 12 months or so.
