Secret Tracks...

...or, today's New Links Mass Debate™!!

Picture the scene, you're listening to a CD, and it lists 11 tracks on the album cover. However, you leave the CD on for too long, and there's a secret hidden track 12!

Name some albums/artists that have hidden tracks on their albums...

The Stone Roses were always good for a secret track. I think it was Second Coming they put 99 tracks on the CD the first 14 or so were actual tracks and the rest bar 1 (the secret track) were 1 second silences.

When played you get a fwip-fwip-fwip as it plasy quickly through the silent tracks - it's as annoying as fsck!

I hate the ones though where they put a track on which is normal track + huge chunk of silence + hidden track. It means you neaver hear the hidden track as you get bored of the silence and skip. Blink have done one or two like this.

You want names? With my memory? ;)

That's why I had to consult the New Links brain!

I imported "the second coming" into iTunes and deleted all that rubbish. Still couldn't remember what the album was... ;)

I know tons of CDs with hidden tracks but I can't be orsed listing them all.

'EP7' by Autechre, though, has a hidden track before the album! You need to press play until track 1 starts, and then rewind it back a few minutes to hear the hidden track 0!

That would have taken some finding by accident!

KANSAS on their "Somewhere to Elsewhere" Release..

The song was: "Geodesic Dome" or something near that.
If was a "warm up" song they used to do before going on stage..

Ween have a track on one of their albums that is recorded at such a low volume you can't hear it without cranking it up to eleven... it's on the album "The Oneness"...
