Best Tabbed Browsing Extension - Evar!

I've tried a few tab management extensions now with the one Merg recommended to me being my favourite to date.

I found a new one last night and forgot to post about it. Tabbrowser Extensions seems to have everything you could possibly want - drag and drop tab ordering, tab locking, setting of rules for when to open in a new tab, auto refresh tabs at user defined intervals (something I know Merg wants), load progress bar on each tab and it apparently even works on OS X which my previous one didn't. Not that last one was a particular requirement for me but we like to cater for minorities on New Links too. ;)

Well you should have re-recommended it when it was fixed for 0.9x! You know what my memory is like. :)

It's well worthy of a post in it it's own right - it's got the best bits of all the rest and loads more. This is now my favourite extension and has beaten Google Preview into second place.

The auto refresh stuff must be new though - as you were talking about needing that just last week.

In the email I thought you were referring to the tab extension I had installed which I thought was the one you had installed having totally forgotten about the original recommendation. Phew!

You're right you should have reminded me! ;)

My memory isn't worse than I thought - I know it's this bad. :)

Oh dear...

Look on the bright side -- you can just buy a couple of DVDs and keep rewatching them -- you'll never remember the plot, soo... <g>

Talking of which, ever seen "Memento"?

And in a vague attempt to get vaguely back on-topic, Tabbrowser Extensions -- top extension. Though it does have a few bugs. It occasionally confuses which page and URL go together, so the address bar will say www.bbc.co.uk and the page displayed will, be, say... Newlinks.

It also tends to get bogged down with too many tabs open. I tend to have a LOT of tabs open (a quick count right now shows 44 tabs...). It's usually a bunch of URLs I intend to blog/mail, serveral pages that auto-update, etc. Anyway, over about 30 and speed suffers on my box -- which is a fairly quick machine. That's probably not a problem for most people though, since I suspect I'm excessive in the tabs-open respect.

At least I remember to log in - parp! :)

Memento is a class film - my memory works for the duration of a film np and I didn't need the "chronologically reordered for Americans" version either!

I'll never hit that tab wall - 12-15 max for me I'd say. Hitting the BlogThis button on a page causes the tab name to change to "BlogThis (loading)" to happen. I'm sure he'll sort those out though - it's an impressive piece of software.

The one or 2 times has crashed for me it has been on streaming stuff too.

re Memento: I'd always read it was for Americans - and being by far the biggest population of R1 I would assume it was mainly for them. It is included on R2 discs as well but as an Easter egg I believe.

I think I'm going to have dig that film out - I haven't watched it for ages. The only reason I still remember it is because I've tattooed it's imdb ID on my thigh. Probably.
