Browser Security Test

How safe is your browser? Well if it's Internet Explorer the answer is probably not very. But to find out for sure check out the Browser Security Test which runs a series of tests then reports on how secure (or not) you are whilst surfing the web.

New Links advice? Get Firefox. My results on the complete test (running Firefox 0.93) were:
0 High Risk Vulnerabilities
0 Medium Risk Vulnerabilities
0 Low Risk Vulnerabilities

Which means dial up users are buggered - as most of them won't have installed SP2 yet.

In fact I haven't installed SP2 myself yet - I want to see who screams about what before I put that on.

I'm still 0.9.2 and got a clean bill of health.

I installed SP2 the other day with no problems. Well, apart from the fact it took about 1 hour to install!!!!
My version of Nero 6.3.0.0 moaned a bit and said it had issues with SP2 but i ignored it and hav'nt found the issues yet. Burned VCD, SVCD and mixed compilations with no problems, yet.

Everything else seems fine. Much better firewall. No messing about opening ports for BT client either.
It may be my imagination but my PC seems to open programs a bit quicker too.

The firewall asks on a program by program basis if i want to let it access the net then creates rules for that program which you have the option to change. Seems like any old firewall to me. Then again, i know nowt about firewalls.
