

The BBC is doing an online poll to vote for your favourite fictional scientist. There are at least 2 obvious ones missing from the list. They do however have
Beaker!
Mind you I'll never trust a BBC poll ever again after the
travesty of the best comedy one. Fscking Vicar of Dibley 3rd best UK sitcom ever? My arse!

RD I thought was a bit reliant on "it's a bit geeky so it'll be funny to geeks". I did like it - but it wouldn't make my top 10. It would still beta Dibley though.I'm amazed Ted wasn't in tehre - and flabbergasted that Fawlty Towers was only fifth.
That's what you get when you allow the great unwashed to vote on something. I reckon in future they should run any poll results past the New Links crew before they publish them.
