Vertical Buttons

It appears there is a new link button type about to get popular on sites. Move over skinny buttons the Vert is in town.

So the question is before I start redoing the sidebar do we go for the older, not quite as trendy now skinny buttons or do we go for the geet trendy as fsck Verts?

Hmmm... undecided.

Hm... I like those, but I think they need to be arranged horizontally across a page to look good... in the sidebar they'd look odd, I think.

So, I vote no, unless we want to make some major design changes. :)

I reckon you'll get a bank of about 5 or 6 buttons wide in the sidebar.

However after thinking about it a bit more - I've nearly got all the skinny buttons we need now and we have precisely 0 verts so I think I'll go for sticking with skinny buttons too.

Yeah, but you'd need several rows unless it was for a very select section of the sidebar... and even then, I just don't think it'd look good.

If you want to do some tho', feel free ;)

I might do some this weekend for newlinks.
So all the uber-trendy sites can link to us, in style.

How I know what you mean I think - you mean a row of 1 x X where X could be 50 and sitting under our logo say? That would look ok too - but no more layout changes here for a week or 3 - I need a rest! ;)

I'll give the drawing a miss. Plus I reckon it's Dogs' turn to draw summat!

Good idea bhell13...

I've done us a NL skinny button already. We could prob do with a horizontal fat button as it were - I think there's astandard size for those too.

Thanks for linking the verts project :)

Oh and If you want to see them in action on sidebars of some sites try C-M Radio or AKA Radio. Maybe I should start making Skinny Verts...hows that for trendy ;)

Yup, they look like I thought they would.

I like 'em, I just don't think they're aesthetically suited to sidebars.
