Justin Carriage Works - Romany Vardo - Gypsy Wagon - Private Treaty

Do you admire the free, uncomplicated lifestyle gypsies have, wandering from place to place in their wagons without a care? Well now YOU can act out your fantasy by having your VERY OWN gypsy wagon made for you! Just think of it: travelling care-free, camping out, laying under the full moon and stars at night by the fire... the nomad life can be YOURS with a gypsy wagon.

You'll need to stay away from farmhouses though in case you get shot.

Don't scare off the punters man! :)

I read that as "if you live in a caravan you're a pikey" rather than "YOU (ILN) are a pikey - even if you have a shiny caravan."

Note the use of the word "if"

I also noticed the aspersions cast to the person's bravery which followed it! :)

Of course it could just be a regular commenter who hit publish while the 'Post As' thingy was set to it's default value of Anonymous. Or maybe it was someone who just couldn't be arsed to do the signup shizzle just to call you a pikey. :)

That to me is pretty much a pikey. Common or garden nugget. Usually seen with burberry baseball cap.

I think pikey was used exclusively for gypsies in Snatch (the film not the body part) but PopBitch uses pikey interchangeably with council estate, nugget, don't give a shite about society scumbag. Jade Goody is a classic pikey according to them.

I took pikey to mean the latter.

Wasn't me... I never post as Anon!

But a pikey is either a tarmac layer.. (a gyppo) or a charvver. You can use it for either. It's only recently been applied to charvs... but I think in other areas of the country they call charvs pikeys, townies, neds.. etc

happy to help!

Ned is scotchish for charver. Didn't we feature a Glasgow Neds site on here once?

Neds in their natural environment.
