More farm/farmer related news just in : Poultry farmers had planned to print the 'Three Lions' emblem on their eggs for the tournament's duration. Under the scheme, producers were hoping to recreate the famous badge by adding a couple of lions to the one which already appears on millions of eggs to show that laying hens are salmonella free. But the request to go-ahead with this patriotic bid was turned down by The Football Association who are "concerned about protecting their brand".
