


A friend has just come back from a weekend camping near Bamburgh and he reckoned a team of archaeologists was setting up at the camp site just before he left.
Bamburgh Castle of course was one of the Anglo-Saxon capitals of Northumbria. Apparently this team has been excavating the area around Bamburgh Castle for the last few years looking for medieval and Anglo-Saxon archaeology. Here's what I think is probably their
