This one was up yesterday as an April Fool. It's Quake in text mode. But there is actually a game there (obviously not requiring a copy of Quake for the level data as the spoof claimed) which is playable on a Z-Machine interpreter - ie anything that runs the Zork data sets.
But if you must have 3D in Quake try Quake with Magic Eye stereograms.
