The British Blogs Top Ten started as a bit of fun, listing the most popular UK blogs by traffic. The person that started said all along it was unscientific and just a bit of fun and he was prepared to accept any publicly available stat counter. Since then there's been a bit of bickering in the UK blogosphere regarding Britishness of certain blogs, disparities between various counting methods, comments about certain blogs having a high percentage of search traffic looking for boobies (a Bad Thing™ apparently) and even the
Guardian had a pop.
Well all that's resolved now as the British Blogs Top Ten is no more - the
latest post says it probably won't be updated again as it did what it set out to do and raised the profiles of some British Blogs.
However
jumping on the bandwagon rising from the ashes like a publicity seeking Phoenix is the
All Inclusive Europundit European Blog Chart. Oops did I say "All Inclusive"? Silly me - slip of the keyboard there. You can
ONLY be included if you use Sitemeter for your stats. Well that's us out before it even starts then.
So in the pursuit of ever more exclusive charts I'm proud to announce the
Newcastle Upon Tyne (With Foreign Correspondents In Chester-le-Street, Cardiff,
Birmingham Royal Leamington Spa, Missouri And Colorado) Based Blogs With
StatCounter Stats Running On Blogger Top Ten Chart. 2 secs while I tot the numbers up....
We are at Number 1. Yay!

Sorry Flip. :)
In my defence your host address does have brhm in it. You should take it up with NTL! ;)
Gregory's Girl was the film.
Yeah Claire Grogan was rather tasty - and we never did get that story!
Hehe...settle down I'll tells ya a story...
Back in the day as old Flip left the army he lived in backroom above a left wing book shop run by 2 ladies who "liked" each other...by day he would "protect" them from nasty right wing skinheads...in return for all the pulses he could eat and free lodgings...he farted alot...and read loads of books on lefty stuff...including how to legalise squats...which he enjoyed doing immensely :)
But I digress...another job he had was extra "security" at the Corn Exchange...a place renowned for beer festivals...nusic clubs and live rock music....Selector..Bad Banners to name a couple...
This one night he was tasked to work the Altered Images gig...they'd just broke into the charts with Happy Birthday.
After the sound check on a cold cambridge day...Ms grogan wanted to "shop" ... I was asked to escort her as we were about the same age :)
She bought oap style knickerbockers with red ribbons...which she wore on stage that night with a tight cammisole hooohaaah...
We had a beer and given I was a babe...hehe...she was obviously charmed if a little flirty...
The gig was a sellout...a week earlier no bugge rhad heard of them...
After show party...the roadies were stoned out of their boxes on temple balls I recall - a nasty heroin/leb combination - we were all pissed and well boy/girl...kissy kissy...fumble fumble...gropey gropey...
Anymore would of course be very ungentlemanly...and anyway my wife's lawyers are probably bugging blogger as we speak...
:)
She had an irritating voice I recall...but great ass...and that scar on her face was extremely sexy for some reason...
Last I heard she'd married a millionaire...
She likes scruffy men...

Aaah I've gone all teary eyed...memories sweet memories...why did I ever tell you about the time me and Marie Osmond...(enuff Flip...mmChronic)...hehe...
I think her odd voice made her more sexy.
Go Flip! :)
Speaking about charts...worryingly on one of my counters...Uk Homepages...I'm being stuffed into third place by a Finnish Fishing site and a page not found...talk about a cheek...UKhome page...how many icelandic fisherman live within our shores huh? Huh..? tell me that...hehe...

You should complain to nedstats - it doesn't look very UK to me.
If it is Icelandic (I'm afraid I can't tell one Scamndinavian language from another) they've got a cheek. First our cod and then 1st place in the NedStat UK Blog Charts.
Quality Grogan action!
Good story flip.
I know someone who once "got it on" with Michaela Strachan (sic, probably), that bird from the hitman and her.. :)
