Strange Reaction - punk/indie mp3 blog

Scott from Ultimate Insult has just setup a new site called Strange Reaction offering older/rarer punk/indie tracks.
I'm a big fan of music blogs, and ones that post rare or obscure tunes in particular. There's a lack of older punk/indie tunes, but some great tunes are out there. I want to share some top picks from my own collection without cluttering up my other site, The Ultimate Insult. I don't have a set turnaround time, but I would think most tracks will be online for a couple of weeks before they disappear.

Fill your boots!

I'd pogo but I'd put my back out...

You know the whole punk thing passed me by being a Northern Soul boy...though I still class the Jam - and now Paul Weller - as one of THE all time greats...

My sister was a goth which reminds me of the joke:

how do you get a goth out of a tree?

cut the rope....

I like punky girls though....and my claim to fame is I once had a torrid sesh with Claire Grogan when she was with Altered Images...

I'm rambling now...I'm off to look at my weather cock....

Fsck me - it all makes sense now! Bungers' claim to fame is that Claire Grogan is his mam - he never found out who his dad was. His penchant for thongs is now self explanatory. ;)

I was too young for punk by a couple of years. I was into the whole 2Tone/ska/rude boy/mod thang.

I love Northern Soul too as a result of being dragged to The Mission (youthclub which had a kicking NS night in the early 70s) in Byker at a very young age (4/5) by an uncle who was supposed to be babysitting me but would obviously rather have not been!

I listen to quite a bit of older punk now but only mainstream stuff like Sex Pistols, Clash etc - this site should provide some interesting tit bits.
