Ooohhh shiny!!!

Tomorrow I shall be mostly playing with my 2gb USB 2 high speed pen drive. That's a whole 2gb for a measly £110.

Can I stay in the fantasy football league now?

I guess you qualify - for the next week at least! ;)

What do you want a 2Gb flash thingummy for?

Work purposes mostly (they paid for it). Good for transporting software installers - better than burning CDs. And good for making backups. Can I go now?

Apparently not.

But you have a laptop that you take to the remote sites - you could have a whole library of installation CD images on your laptop drive which you can mount virtually and run.

And wouldn't you be better off with a DVD-RW as a backup device? Much less than half the price and about 4 times the storage.

No wonder charities are always crying fscking skint spending money on shiat they don't actually need. ;)

You may leave.

Yes, I take your point. Why carry around a pen sized storage device that weighs ounces and is worth £110 when you can lug around a fookin great big expensive laptop everywhere you go ;)

Erm - don't you carry around your laptop to/from work anyway? If not there's an even huger huge wadge of money they've wasted as you obviously don't need a laptop - a PC and a memory stick would suffice.

The childers will starve - you bastard!

I need the laptop for when I'm in my hotel and I need to access NewLinks :)

That's entirely justifiable then. You may even be able to get a grant from the government for reading NewLinks.

Can I have one, too?

If I can, I'll post more often (at least once I get over this flu or whatever it is...)

I'm afraid NewLinks can only offer ongoing Fantasy League membership. :)
