Doom 3 - The Board Game

... so we can all sit around and get... er... board? Nice plastic figures, though.

I'm reliably informed this very game's available from HMV Oxford Street, London and looks "suspiciously like Space Marine". Which is another board game, apparently. (I think there was an Amiga version of the latter, now I contemplate on it... and a sort of "spin-off" called Space Hulk that always looked quite good but was damn near impossible to play, it was so hard.)

The Space Marine name does sound familiar now you mention it.

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced I've played it long, long ago -- I believe SRP's kid brother had it and it was a Games Workshop game "published" by Ideal or Milton Bradley... and the Amiga game was a "conversion" f that.

So... that'd be about 13-15 years ago, I reckon.

And IIRC, the Amiga version's "random" encounters were horribly unfair...
