Sellotape Doesn't Allow Linking

Sellotape, the sticky tape company, apparently has a a copyright policy in place that doesn't allow linking to their website.
The copyright in the contents of this site is owned by Sellotape® and users may download materials from this site for their own personal and non-commercial use only. Any other copying, re-distribution or publishing of any part of this site in any manner is not permitted. Hyperlinking to this site, is not permitted without the express prior permission of Sellotape®.

So there you have it. No linking to the Sellotape website for you. They don't want you to link to them so don't do it!
Do we have permission to link? Was it express?

They'll never make it stick. :)

I reckon we should start a blog on non linkable sites and link to them. And in the sidebar we link to all the legal judgements in the UK, Europe and US which says linking is legal and you can't stop anyone doing it.

funny you should say that, I was thinking of doing something like that just last night...

... mind you... deep linking was upheld as "not legal" in some US judgement a while ago(!)

Not sure if it was overturned on appeal...

Please don't link to the Sellotape website. Sellotape don't like it, apparently, and have told everyone not to, unless they have permission from Sellotape.

So don't do it. Link to www.sellotape.co.uk, I mean.
