In the news today...

The Guardian reveals The Man Who Thinks He's George Clooney. Which is actually a story about ex Green Beret Jonathon Keith "Jack" Idema who spends his time being a heavily armed bounty hunter in Afghanistan. He uses his house as a private jail - complete with men hanging upside down from the ceiling.

The George Clooney link is to do with George starring in the role of a bounty hunter in the film Peacemaker which Mr Idema claims to be his own story and is therefore suing for $130m.

Surely that should be 'the man who thinks George Clooney thinks he's him'?

I'm off to hunt some Bounty Bars to go with my Wham bars.

Jonathon "Jack" Idema is a fraud. He never was in special forces, and seems apt to making up several stories just to get his name out. If any research was done on this peace, it is very easy to find all the false tales that Mr. Ideam is so keen to spread

If you mean did we (New Links) do any research on this piece of course we fscking didn't. It's a link blog man not the BBC! We post links, make shite jokes about them and then bicker over it in the comments for a bit.

If you mean did the Guardian do any research who knows or cares. Of course I see you provided plenty of links to prove your claim.

From now on I see we'll have to put this disclaimer on every post.

Warning: Anything (and probably everything) read on New Links may not be true. In fact it's probably a load of shite.

Indeed.

But I doubt the story is completely false. I shall research...
